Kopi Lim is the mascot of the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) in Singapore. Introduced in 2017, Kopi Lim is a bespectacled, stuffed polar bear who represents the bureau’s efforts to educate the public about anti-corruption.

The name “Kopi Lim” is a play on the Hokkien phrase “lim kopi,” which means “to drink coffee” and is often used to imply being invited by authorities for questioning. Kopi is also an acronym for “Kaypoh (inquisitive), Organised, Positive, Industrious, Level-headed, Innovative, Meticulous.”

Kopi Lim is usually depicted holding a cup of coffee. He is described as being “whiter than white,” emphasising purity and integrity. Kopi Lim has been featured in various public outreach initiatives, including school visits and online campaigns, to spread awareness about the importance of anti-corruption efforts in Singapore. He has also been featured in CPIB merchandise such as enamel pins and plushies.

In 2023, an animated series called “Kopi’s Case Files” showcased Kopi Lim and his friends in everyday scenarios, highlighting how they upheld honesty, fairness, and integrity, which draws parallels to CPIB’s actual work.
