Ottie is a mascot of PAssion Wave, a network of water sports and recreational centers managed by the People’s Association. Introduced in 2014 as part of Project Blue WaVe, Ottie was designed to promote environmental conservation and encourage community engagement in keeping Singapore’s waterways clean. The smooth-coated otter was chosen due to its natural association with aquatic environments, making it an ideal symbol for water-related activities and environmental stewardship.
