Roary

Roary is the mascot of the Singapore National Paralympic Council (SNPC). Introduced in May 2024 shortly before the Paris Paralympic Games, the mascot’s design was inspired by the Merlion and has a light blue mane.

A poll was conducted on SNPC’s Facebook page to name the mascot, and Roary won the popular vote. The other options were Leon and Finny:

A. Roary - Stands for the lion’s might and the indomitable spirit of athletes. Urging us to unleash our strength. B. Leon - Is derived from the greek word “Leon”, meaning “lion” which symbolises power and courage. C. Finny - “Finny” reflects the Merlion’s fluidity and grace. Representing seamless adaptation and resilience.

Roary has been illustrated playing paralympic sports, including boccia and sitting volleyball. The illustrations are available as virtual stickers.
