wiTTy is the official mascot of SG Translate Together, an initiative by the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) to promote community involvement in translation and multilingual communication in Singapore. The mascot has a robot body and an analog screen for a face.
wiTTy’s name was chosen out of 58 suggestions and top-voted by Citizen Translators of the SG Translate Together web portal. The name is an acronym of “Wise, Informative, Youthful and Translate Together”.
The mascot is featured on the SG Translate Together web portal, as well as social media content on MDDI’s channels promoting the initiative.
