Bobby the hawksbill sea turtle is a mascot of PAssion Wave, a network of water sports and recreational centers managed by the People’s Association. Introduced in 2014 as part of Project Blue WaVe, Bobby’s role is to spread the message of marine conservation.
In the “Adventures of Bobby the Hawksbill Sea Turtle” colouring series, Bobby visited his cousin Peanut in Missouri, USA and realised her shell had become deformed due to being stuck in a 6-pack ring. This spurred Bobby to encourage his hometown friends in Pasir Ris Park to pick up litter and dispose of them properly.
Bobby’s underbelly has a blue “B” design (in comic sans). Sometimes, he wears a blue snapback or blue ranger hat, the latter covering his brown streak of hair.
Together with fellow PAssion Wave mascot Ottie the Otter, they are frequently featured on PAssion Wave’s social media channels.
